Vajrakilaya, wrathful Heruka, represents the activity of all Buddhas and is one of the most powerful obstacle removers, destroying hostility to enlightenment and purifying spiritual pollution. He is depicted with consort, holds the Phurba which cuts all three poisons, and stands on demons. Surrounding him are four activity Kilas or Phurbas; yellow Kila representing increasing activities, white Kila pacifying, red Kila magnetizing, and blue Kila wrathful. The phurba is used in Vajrayana tantra for disease curing, exorcism, consecrations, and weather making.
