The Kalachakra Mandala is a two dimensional depiction of a three dimensional five storied divine mansion, at the center resides the Kalachakra deity whose name means 'Wheel of Time', and represents the nature the universe itself. He is associated with the highest tantra, the practice of which destroys obstacles and reveals the secrets of the nature of reality. Surrounding the mandala are the Eight Auspicious Symbols.
Outer brocade covering has two tiny holes near the top.
