Amitabha, the Buddha of Boundless Light, is lord of the Pure Land- he vowed that anyone who remembers his name or prays to him will be reborn in his pure land immediately after death. He is depicted seated on a peacock throne. His mantra is 'Om Ami Dewa Hri' (Sanskrit: oṃ amideva hrīḥ).
