Chenrezig is depicted in fine textured gold paint, the seed syllables to his mantra 'Om Mani Padme Hum' radiate out in rainbow light from his wish fulfilling jewel that he holds from his heart. Chenrezig represents compassion, and is the first Bodhisattva. His four arms represent the four immeasurables- loving kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity. Manjushri representing wisdom and Vajrapani representing power are depicted below; together with Chenrezig's compassion represent the essential components of enlightenment.
